Note: Not stable/suggested yet.

F-Droid emphasizes that it wants to ensure that the experience with it is as stable as possible, so version 1.19 isn’t marked as the suggested version yet

I do however like Droidify with Shizuku integration for this purpose!

Droidify has never ever even suggested me an update in the background. Like ever. The option is enabled in the settings. I always have to launch it manually and refresh to see new updates idk. FDroid app on the other hand works flawlessly, including the newest one.

It may not be the suggested version, but it is quite stable as I have been using it since it was in early alpha and I have never seen it crash or any issues.

Why would you title it a "trick"? Inappropriate term.

now supports the unattended updates API introduced in Android 12

Hardly a trick if you use a standard API.

Yeah it really is a click bait title . I bet google playstore invented back ground download (if it really is i'm fucked but pretty sure its not).
