I love that scene! Although does it relate closely to ADHD? It seems like it's more a series of unfortunate events than a person loosing focus.

I'd say the distinction is the definitely not ADHD variant of the scene has Hal finishing replacing the bulb, and then working on the fixing the shelf, and so on. But that wouldn't be funny.

Also I just noticed that he gets a screwdriver out of the drawer, but the shelf support appears to have a loose nail.

I adopted the 'fuck it, just get it done' philosophy which solves a lot and has an achieveable if not perfect end result

How does one learn this magic?

Start with the dishwasher. Not quite full and its the end of the day? Fuck it, just start it.

Actually.. Thats my only example. The one time i decided to see if i could use chlorine to clean the grout, the test patch turned into the entire house and i have no idea how i could have not done that.

The first example is a good point. Sometimes it'll have to do even if it isn't quite done yet.
