Check out the World of Tanks forums for information.

The vast majority of projects on GitHub is open-source and forkable, why would that need authorization?

It's... suspicious that China's doing it en masse, but there's nothing wrong in cloning or forking a repo last i heard.

  1. Virtual private network – VPN: 240 unavailable apps including Lantern VPN, ProtonVPN, ExpressVPN, Nord VPN.

When assessing a VPN, using one that's blocked in China seems to be a safe item to check.

Do we though?... 'Cos it seems to me the path has been deregulating.

A LaGrange point would be nice... lots of stuff there, could prove useful in a few decades...

Running a full OS on a rocket? Why? It's mostly some embedded stuff, some kind of arduino.

The launching platform though... maybe a minimalist OS with a curses interface.

COBOL has entered the room... although i've heard Ada is more popular in military applications.

...on which hardware?

Last i encountered this issue i had to connect it directly to an USB port, instead of through an USB hub.

Not even the door locks are mechanical? So much built-in obsolescence...

If i were to take a shot every time vulnerabilities are found in the WordPress ecosystem i'd be comatose by now...

And what does that skin feed off of?

3 more...

The human mind is a curious mind.

If that skin is just copy/pasted without nourishment it'll rotten away, decaying in a sea of pus and putrid, gangrenic tissue, festering away as maggots feast on it.

So if these scientists are half-serious about their grants then they should consider a way to feed the skin.

In this day and age an artist can be their own record label.

Mostly for tech communities but yes. Libera.Chat seems to be the go-to network.

What?! That's impossible! Banks are credible, reliable, trustworthy! Cryptocurrencies, those are the baddies.

All because suburban whites don’t want to remember to lock the doors as they drive through the black neighborhood so the car locks itself whenever you put it in Drive.

It's funny because it's true.

Rule 37?

Right! There's even a Stross about it.

True... although i'd think ICQ numbers in Ripper dictionaries are probably lower priority than simple brute-forcing sequential numbers.

libcurl is awesome. The fact it's over 20 years old, is used by a gazillion projects and runs on two planets is proof of its quality.

Linux, on the other hand, can easily boot up on a 10-year-old laptop with just 2GB of RAM, and work fine.

I'm not sure a modern day browser would be just fine with "only" 2GiB, unfortunately.

It's Natalie Portperson, keep up.

Funny how there's a lot of wired vs wireless hate in the comments, can't really pin down the reason. Generational?

Wired will always be more stable and faster, whereas wireless is more ubiquitous. If you work at a fixed position, prefer wired. If wired is unavailable, well, you'll have to make do with wireless. USB-C dongles and docking stations are a thing, so the laptop doesn't have it argument doesn't hold.
