They frame this article in such a weird way. Like replacing the models and their jobs was justified because they had egos etc...

I can see similar framing used to replace other workers because they want to be paid fairly or do something drastic like take bathroom breaks... :D

Someome needs to make this into a satire of Hallmark movies. Two gay dads, one a former journalist, save the corrupt small town just in time for christmas.

Her official cause of death wasn't revealed. Her diet did seem risky but too early to link it.

Why is everyone on a race to the bottom nowadays? Almost every action a consumer makes is becoming monetized.

I've worked as a poll worker since 2019. It's actually a great thing to do. 99% of the people are wonderful. Voters are rarely the issue. However, Poll watchers have been getting worst and more confrontational. I dread 2024.

I have a subscription only because it was added on to another service. I wouldn't be surprise if they padded their numbers by giving out accounts as paired deals.

What was that about casting stones and glass houses...

Seriously, this is terrible if true. Rape is too common and its effects are usually lifelong.

Meanwhile GOG...

Elves, minotaurs, colossuses, and gorgons! This looks really good.

Most likely getting as many sales before the slim is announced.

Sadly all that crazy seems totally possible with Microsoft involved.

So... a movie featuring a sleeping girl getting woken up for her happy ending is too woke?

I agree that AI work should not have copyright protection. Even with human intervention it still collects data, without expressed permission, from numerous sources.

This will actually protect smaller artists. It will prevent giant companies from profiting from their work without credit or payment.

I agree that a person has a right to charge for their work. I just feel mods are a real legal quagmire. The best way around all of this is a Pateron style system where a creator is supported but not directly charging for mods.

The issue is that mods often use some part of the original creation so ownership is a tricky issue. However if the company is willing to pay creators then I guess that is OK, like this case.

AI can be such a great tool, but they just use it for this crap... We need regulation

I wonder how it will affect sales... the game is really popular but still niche to a lot of people. Surprised they didn't try to save this price point for something like Monster Hunter or Resident Evil

That is some how cool and creepy all at once. I guess it gives a macro-view of what we consider attractive.

I wonder if it will show up on GOG too.

Just... yay!

Def, great job on those numbers.

So happy that Sony is releasing on GOG as well

Still takes like 20 headshots to down someone. It gets a little better mid-late game. It was brutal playing 2.0 before the Headshot damage mod was updated.

However, I noticed that blades seemed a bit buffed. I was able to melee super easy early on.

Every comment here is awesome. Thanks everyone.

Kirby Pinball. Just a chill and fun game.

So Taylor Swift is going to buy it next?

Why use any human-like image then? A lot of amateur fashion designer on instagram use mannequins or busts. The models are serving a purpose. Removing them means someone loses a job.

If we look at this from top-down you're right because the company is saving a cost. But from the bottom-up, you've just become more expendable. This leads into the arguments others have been making, what happens when eventually people can't work? And why should we use technology to serve the few and not the many?

Sadly you're right. We at least need the basic rule of labeling content that used AI

Nintendo is also like this. They keep games full price on their store years after release.

This could be really big. Lots of controllers like Gameflex that attach to a phone. Could turn your phone into a mini system

I liked that the story was almost a joke. The game did enough to pull you along. That amazing dragon fight at the end then... some shopkeep is your beloved :D

I feel it will be deeper this time around. Dark Arisen's story was smaller but once you learn everything, including who Death is, it's really cool.

I believe a person can still sell or market art that is AI created. I just believe they shouldn't have total ownership of the work.

Already most creators don't fret over fanart or fanfiction so there is wiggle room for fair-use. It's a lot like the game modding scene. Usually modders use pre-existing assets or code to create something new.

Let people play but not own AI work for now.

This is the best way forward. If GOG had more games it would change the industry. More companies need to partner with them.

This makes sense why Apple brought these games to iOS and Mac. Probably planning to push it with the VisionPro

Proton VPN does block ads in apps. You'll need to pay for the ad blocking though.

You are correct. The Hyrule Historia outlines the game and the split in Ocarina of Time:

Itsuno sounds like such a simple and nice dude. He doesn't hype.

Glad to hear that the gameplay is basically the same. Surprised about the GTAV inspiration.

Thanks for the heads up, been wanting to try this for a while.

Amazing news. Days Gone has been really fun, glad I can remain steam free
