Lots of misunderstanding in these comments. Google Fi service is not going anywhere, Google is not cancelling any services. The Pixel Pass is basically just a bundle of optional services that can be added to your Fi account for a very slight discount. You do not get a free phone, you get interest free financing on your phone. Because they are cancelling the Pixel Pass Google has given me $100 credit towards my next phone, which is a better deal than the Pixel Pass itself.

Like many people I'm not happy with a lot of things Google has been doing lately, but the Pixel Pass being cancelled is not important.

Creating fake child porn of real people using things like Photoshop is already illegal in the US, I don't see why new laws are required?

It's so sad how many posters would rather blame OP for spending an extra dollar on better bread and veggie patties rather than actually acknowledge the blatant price gouging on food. The idea that everyone should only be buying the cheapest ingredients is just stupid. No one is living a fulfilling life eating nothing but cheap beans and rice everyday, and food prices have been ridiculous for a while now.

And yet their stock dropped massively after revealing the 5 million gain because investors realize that it was a one time boost that won't help them in the long run.

To earn revenue, the company is selling carbon removal credits to companies paying a premium to offset their own emissions. Microsoft has already signed a deal with Heirloom to remove 315,000 tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

And this is why direct air capture is a farce right now - any progress they make is literally counter acted by large corporations who will increase their carbon output because they have a contract with a company like this.

Carbon air capture technology paired with 100% clean energy can save the world from a lot of hardship in the near future, but not like this.

You did not understand my comment very well. Beans and rice are great staple foods, I love them. A well rounded diet involves more than just beans and rice.

Dragon Age: Origins had the perfect camera that let you look around like an action game and then switch to the tactical camera. It's astounding that modern rpgs cannot match how good the camera was in a game from 2009.

Everybody is an individual. There's a woman whose nose is so sensitive that she can smell diseases on clothes. Your eyes just might be more sensitive to blue light than the average.

The vehicle was empty, it wasn't carrying anyone.

When you say you're old, how old do you actually mean? I'm in my mid 30s and I feel exactly the same way.

Sounds like you got hacked and someone reactivated your subscription

There's also the fact that US media wants to show this bad stuff because it helps keep people afraid of the world around them and makes them easier to manipulate.

For anyone who may have forgotten or may not know: the game is a day 1 launch on game pass. I already have it preloaded and I didn't preorder. You can easily see how buggy the game is for yourself next week.

Thanks for pointing out that typo, I fixed the credit amount

It's because they take the value of the shows they remove and mark them down as a straight loss, it's a ridiculous loophole. They are literally saying, "I have this thing that's so valuable, but I 'accidentally' threw it away, it's worthless now, I need to mark this down as a loss." They are destroying their own products for tax purposes.

The Discovery channel boss started this trend when he cancelled that Batwoman movie, and now other streaming corps are following suit. Hopefully the law will catch up to prevent this kind of trickery, but for now it seems they are doing everything they can to reduce costs because they rushed to steal Netflix's lunch without a solid business plan.

My last 3 phones have been a Pixel 2 XL, a Samsung Note Ultra, and a Pixel 7. I may just be lucky, but I have never had a single problem with any of my Pixel/Nexus phones.

I decided to try the Note for the s pen a few years ago and found it to be a much, much worse experience. Software on the Pixel is head and shoulders above all of Samsung's bloatware, and the Note's screen died for no reason after a year and a half. Meanwhile, the Pixel 2 XL is still going strong (I had to use it for a bit after the Note died), and the Pixel 7 is a great phone.

I'm glad to finally see someone else mentioning this aspect. Streaming services creating their own content is Vertical Integration and it's a big reason for a lot of the problems with streaming. It's essentially a conflict of interest where the platform wants to create as much content as fast as possible, which puts them at odds with the realities of creating quality content: it takes time, and is heavily dependent on the artists involved; there's no simple formula to make something good consistently. Netflix originally had some good shows at first with House of Cards and Orange is the New Black but then both shows fell off and Netflix switched tracks to putting out a much as they could and cancelling anything that didn't catch on (which is most things).

I think this also contributes to lowering payouts to the actors involved because of the lack of licensing agreements. I have seen a few news articles about how bad the pay is for residuals on streaming sites, and it's not hard to imagine ways that a streaming platform could massage the numbers to make any specific show seem less profitable since all content is behind the same paywall. However, when a show is licensed, like the big popular shows such as Friends or Seinfeld, there is a public announcement for how much money is paid for the rights to stream that show, and this makes it much more straightforward to calculate how much money goes to everyone involved.

Guaifenisin aka Mucinex is an FDA approved drug. Maybe you should look it up since you clearly don't know anything about it? Or just take the word of a stranger on the Internet who says they went to pharmacy school eight years ago

Nope, not a huge deal at all. Still don't feel any recoil when using the breaker.

If I'm understanding correctly, you're saying you don't see the trend of office real estate losing value? This might be a problem mostly for the US, but Manhattan real estate is definitely struggling. There's also the company WeWork, which is basically AirBnB for office spaces, which is now on the brink of collapse.. WeWork had bought up so much office space for renting out that US banks are legit concerned over what happens if the business fails.

Nintendo is now saying that they aren't planning to do another game in the BotW/TotK style, saying that they consider TotK to be the final form of "that version of Zelda"

So quit your job and pay hundreds, maybe even thousands, of dollars to move somewhere different where you no longer have a source of income and don't know anyone?

They can only sell for those prices because buyers are ready to buy

Because the alternative is to be homeless.

No, this is not how it is. In order to rent an apartment you have to show proof of income, and people who can't afford a studio apartment where they live also cannot afford to move. What you are suggesting is literally not possible. You might as well tell someone to grow wings and make a nest in the clouds.

It thins out mucus. The fact that it works very well for me is absolutely proof that it works. I started taking it on recommendation from my doctor. Please explain to me how this is at all analagous to people taking horse ivermectin after doctors denied giving them a prescription?

Edit to add: guaifenisin is the main ingredient in Mucinex, to those who aren't familiar

Guaifenisin is definitely not a garbage drug, it's very effective for me in ways that prove it works.
