Good. Also you shouldn’t need a relationship with a corporation (account) to get information from government agencies…

Nice work

If United couldn't get anybody to bite at the vouchers, then the employees should have stood the whole flight.

Yeah, that is not a solution. The FAA is salivating at the thought of this. Everyone must have a seat for takeoff and landing.

Skydive terminology. Its not a chute, dammit, it’s a canopy or a wing.

It depends on the government I suppose. US National Weather Service offices posts bunch of weather info exclusively to Twitter (and sometimes Facebook).

Yep, I should be able to peg 600mbps 24/7

Btw I just found out that lemmy-ui supports markdown citations.

It’s not documented AFAIK though.

:( It works on lemmy-ui/photon/alexandrite/voyager (maybe others too - these are just ones I've tested that work)

Thanks! Fun fact, it’s not a drone pic, I took this with my phone flying a paramotor. Shameless plug !paramotor@lemmy.world 😄

Sure but the vast majority of US airspace is uncontrolled.

I never understood the obsession with homeownership.

I've owned. It kinda sucked. The things most people think of as "pros" (like being able to renovate) were not that great for me. I'd spend a lot of time thinking about things I could change/improve, and then doing them.

My brain operates differently renting. I don't really care about things like that since its not an option in the first place. It saves me time/money/stress and I spend more time living my life instead of maintaining a property.

Of course there are drawbacks with renting, specifically shitty landlords, but to me there are more pros than cons.

Hi, Voyager dev here, I’d like to see a very small, terse API for clients devs to make a more seamless experience!

The MVP IMO would be a way to automatically log the user in when opening the Canvas, perhaps by

  • well known Canvas user handle for client to automatically DM for OTP
  • client waits for OTP in DMs
  • client adds a query parameter with the user handle and OTP to the URL to open browser, so user is automatically logged in with 0 clicks!

And I could see stuff beyond this. Like an API to know event metadata, docs on how to embed Canvas in app (would be great for engagement)

Anywho simple is best but would be awesome for tighter integration of apps/clients with a documented API!

DST is bad, byte me

To me at least the speed isn’t a problem. I’d much rather take a 2 day Amtrak (in sleeper) than an 8 hour plane.

The problem is the pricing, and also how much it fluctuates due to the extremely low capacity (one train a day…)

Oh no. anyways

The script is pretty easy to read and follow along manually if you need to.

:(

:)

Are you my landlord?

Oh you can’t instance ban yet just ban from communities.

could the lemmy.ml censorship drama be related to this?

I think it’s just cooling down from Reddit migration. Same thing with Voyager donations (albeit smaller scale).

I'm currently renting a home for space for gardening. Tomato seedlings went out last weekend :)

So there’s that, and there’s retirement. Having set expenses (aside from taxes) is super important and you’ll never have that with renting when you’re retired.

I don't consider my home a retirement vehicle. I save separately for that. But I do understand that for some people, it is, and that's understandable.

Technically its not exclusive as their data and messaging is distributed by other channels, including traditional, and their own site(s)

Not in my experience. I know because I’ve corresponded with my office, and complained about posts that aren’t tied to a particular weather product (like the Weather Story) or disseminated otherwise.
