You advertise to your audience. Ads targeting the perverse and the stupid seem perfectly suited to twitter.

It takes a truly weak man to quake at the mere existence of a dommy mommy.

“Son, I’m profoundly disappointed. I raised you not to stoop to such awful perversion. You’ve managed to ignore the rule of thirds and even moved the focus from your eyes. Hand me the camera so we can do this right.”

I’m seeing a lot of Newsweek posted here and that is disheartening, to say the least. Newsweek is half a step from the dailymail’s level of bombastic misrepresentation. Continued use of Newsweek as a source is not ideal as a result.

The entire premise is fake, but that stupid fake manager is still driving up my blood pressure.

Fun fact, lead is delicious and counts itself among the most historically accepted forbidden snacks. Wine, in veggies absorbed through fertilizer, dissolved in solution, lead can be, and has been, enjoyed many ways.

It’s a safe space and the fediverse rapidly expanded tenfold. Beehaw has stated outright that they want to refederate with the big instances, but are delaying until mod tools improve enough to allow them to maintain their safe space for their gaggle of vulnerable folks in the wake of the severely increased workload.

An adjacent question that you brought to mind, why are people so intent on using “apps” for everything. It feels as if browsers have been all but forgotten despite filling the same role, but often better.

The saying is “reduce, reuse, recycle” for a reason. It’s in order of impact, with recycling being low impact and reactive and reducing being high impact and proactive.

This is vaguely tangential but some of my best friends were illegal aliens raised entirely within the US. They’re as American as any other American, but know how to use cumin. Moreover, the US has already invested millions for their education from childhood to adulthood- they’re all skilled, educated individuals and a boon to the US. It makes no sense to send off a US citizen for the sake of bureaucracy. To phrase this another way, eat the entirety of my ass, Nixon.

But like, OP, legitimately, have you joined the church of hardened Firefox yet? We can save your eternal data from marketing damnation, and unreservedly block ads.

If they exclusively targeted larger companies, they’d be fine with me. Generally, the way they operate is to first strike smaller, more vulnerable companies to build their case before suing a larger one. Patent reform can’t come soon enough.

Mmm yes, let’s kick one of the last honest politicians in existence while he’s down. That’ll soften your horrific image, big boy.

His nipples have led me to question whether it’s AI. AI consumes black nipples like Hannibal Lecter at Mardi Gras.

There is one complaint that I have about the mods across Lemmy, they seem to be hesitant to crack down on trolling. This has, in turn, made trolling easy thanks to the audience Lemmy attracted. Love the mods here, but when someone calls out a troll, maybe don’t remove the comment calling out the troll and leave the troll alone to continue trolling. Your contribution is actively negative if you do this.

The democrat side is objectively worse. You have to walk to the opposite side of the well to reach the handle. What did the artist mean by this?

Every time I see a rug pull, I giggle and consider making Rugcoin until I remember that it already exists along with several others, all instantly rugged.

Guys, when did it become cringe to like women? The woke left has really gone too far. And here’s your /s. Yes, you specifically.

Did anything ever come of that? It was terrifying.

Look, all I’m saying is that I have yet to see any definitive proof that China really exists. A flag with 5 stars and 2 colors? Who do they expect to fool with that?

And whose music career was nearly exclusively the product of nepotism through her multimillionaire music executive father.

“My how you’ve grown!”

“I’m onto you, grandma.”

I apologize to everyone I’m about to insult but lemmy users generally behave like redditors. People generally don’t write comments with relevant information in order to have them passed over. It can be frustrating, especially when the rest of the comments are repeated jokes or could be summarized as alternative articulations of “this.”

I don’t mean this as a threat, but as plain kinetic question. How do billionaires stay so safe with so many enemies? It’s a bit baffling to me. Security is fascinating to me.

NYC may actually have trouble maintaining a police department if the trumpets march out. Could you imagine his face if Trump accidentally created the first large majority left-wing police department?

So you’re admitting that she’s biased against wholesale voter disenfranchisement!

I sincerely wish that were the case. The proliferation of Ring doorbells, Alexa speakers, and overall lack of tech literacy really hampers any signs of general outcry. Our collective screech barely registers as a whimper in the grand scheme.

I’ve been meaning to get back to cyberbullying but who has the time? And my portfolio is so dated.

Going to a site with a terrible autoplay pseudo-podcast that refreshes on every new page is basically the MySpace experience. It’s incredibly difficult, by the way, for small projects to have their wikis deleted and wiki site staff are less than helpful. Always nice for a defunct wiki to rise to the top of search results when the project website hosts quite a bit more identically formatted information but without random penis based articles. I love that.

The argument against banning menthols that I’ve read was that banning menthols infantilizes black people and takes away their right to autonomy. That feels like an attempt at shifting discourse away from the tobacco industry who created a slightly more addictive cigarette.

Only if you don’t think about it are they not mutually exclusive ideas. Safe space first, increase size of safe space second.

“Let’s see what the tankies are talking about today!”

Why is no one talking about Nordstream and how unfair its destruction was to Russia?

“Alright, I’ve had my fill.”

China is plenty happy with stealing ridiculous amounts of IP and/or immediately copying and selling identical products. It’s already factored in.

These posts are exhaustingly far from the reality of the situation. Please don’t make the fediverse kick the puppy that is your optimistic opinion, OP.

Edit: OP downvoted everyone who disagreed with him.

Depending on whose blood it is, it could be pretty cool. Some rando’s blood? Gross. Gamer girl blood? Excellent heat conductor.

We bred dogs specifically to love people and to be expressive in an innately human way, so it feels wrong to kill them. Cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, etc. were bred for food. There’s less betrayal if the idea was always to eat them.

I encourage stealing from these communities: aww, askhistorians

I discourage stealing from: any of the innumerable fake story subreddits.

I started doing squats for my knees. They still pop but no pain in years. Bonus: sexy quads.

Well, it has been criminal in several uniquely terrible ways for an incredibly long time. 500M to save on 1B in fines is reasonable being that Facebook is nearly dead in Europe and needs the US far more than it used to.
