If translation layer can be banned with EULA how is wine not dead yet? M$ loves Linux or what?

I drive 25 years old car. It was pretty expensive when it was new so it has all the features I care about. I will not buy a new car until I'm forced to. Also the option to just turn on seats heating without having to pay monthly is quite a bonus.

This reminds me of the story about some old dude's dog that always shits on my neighbor's sidewalk. One day neighbor saw that and run to that guy with scary look on his face. He started scolding old guy that he should clean after his dog and old guy respond he's too old to do that, his back hurt and stuff. The dog saw the whole thing and in a shame he just ate his own shit so poor old man didn't have to clean it up.

I absolutely refuse to change time on any of my analog clocks. I hate daylight savings with passion.

Well I like dogs but they certainly aren't angles

Hard to disagree but with internet we had back in the day it was hard to send large files with just about anything

This could be a nitro feature though

Plain copper will get you nowhere. Adding iron slab also won't help. You have to have magnetic field to generate electricity

Discord could actually be replaced with any mainstream social media platform. Few weeks ago I've seen a lot of memes that took air pollution map of Europe and labeled it: "Femboys heat map" or something like that. Poland is usually almost entirely red since air pollution in that country is sometimes literally highest in the world. How are polish people still alive? Well it only happnes during coldest days in winter. As for why that happens? I don't know. UK used to have similar problem and other countries as well but now only Poland is so bad. You could say because people are poor and they burn whatever they have to keep warm in winter but that can't be the case. If you look at GDP map of Europe there are more counties that have lower GDP and don't have that problem.

Looks like Elon finally forces x down everyone's throat and every twitter.com link redirects to x.com. (Funny enough I tried Firefox Nighty and there is no redirect so maybe this is random based on UA) Also I'm not 100% sure but enhanced tracking protection probably breaks x.com because there are still API calls to twitter.com under the hood, since those are different domains it just gets blocked. Solution is either twitter fixes their shitty code or Mozilla adds exception.

Daylight savings are so stupid. Savings are actually minimal and it's bad for your health. If everyday you wake up at 7 your body will wake up without an alarm, now wake up at 6 because it's a new 7. I'm sure you will wake up no problem. Now we will change it every 6 months so you will always need alarm. God! I hate it!

How is that Nvidia can ban reverse engineering and for example Nintendo can't. I'm sure they would love to just say in EULA that sorry but reverse engineering Switch is prohibited therefore every emulator is illegal

Well it would certainly be a challenge to turn out worse than current twitter.

If you're afraid of being seen but you still like to walk naked in your own house just buy European curtains like most people in eastern Europe do. Those barely block any light so your room is bright but it's almost impossible to see what's inside the room. Similar curtains I found on eBay

The only benefit now, but what if they start to serve 30 non-skippable ads without premium and ONLY 5 with premium, what a deal! Right? If you hate ads you can just buy higher tier for ONLY $5 more.

Let's just keep fingers crossed for ublock...

The quality is almost as shit as post itself.

Their worst.

I sometimes use Element. Can confirm, it's pretty good. I wish more people would give it a try.

That option works, thanks!

Revanced is great because it lets you watch without ads WITH Google account. I know that if you're focused on privacy the last thing you want is Google account but for me the benefit of YouTube algorithm suggesting me exactly what I want to watch is enough the reason to not use any platform/app that doesn't support login. Of course they need to try more before I'll pay for premium. For now if that dialog ever shows up to me I'm setting my UA to Android and see if that happens on mobile YouTube as well. Since they don't care too much about that version of YouTube it's possible that dialog will not show up. If that's blocked too I'm installing waydroid and revanced on it. Also I hope that development of VueTube will speed up because currently it's so slow I'm not sure if it will ever be finished and it would be great to have alternatives to revanced.

Yes, HDR is enabled in Plasma but desktop looks fine. Only game is washed out. As for gamescope I just enabled it in Heroic so no additional options. But with or without gamescope it looks the same.

I may be wrong since I don't live in the US but when you say "curtains" people will think of those that completely block light. You'd use them for the theater room for example to watch movies on a projector during day. In eastern Europe however when you say curtains it can also mean those transparent ones. They even use different words for each type but both translate to curtains as far as I know.

I like my headphones not to be e-waste after 2-3 years when batteries die

... you have dislexia Harry.

I'm sure that it will be an option. For now you can force build-in dark mode with this extension

Don't

I run 2 monitors with different DPIs and X11 works without an issue. Can't say the same about wayland where scaling still has so many bugs it's just unusable.

Valid point. I forgot about 4K... I run just 125% scale so it doesn't bother me at all. Well it's kinda funny that both protocols are broken in that regard.

Personally I could never use a text editor that is free and not open source (Aside from built-in editors). For simpler stuff like config files etc I use Kate which looks nice, has syntax highlighting and is cross platform. For more complicated stuff I like VSCodium. Both are well maintained, and work great.

I believe they don't store any credentials on the server. If you really don't trust them you can also host your own instance. You can read more here
