Holy cow! Is this for real?

There are some more benefits into this, mostly from private companies, insurance groups or state agencies, aimed to motivate people to not be dicks.

Batman might have lower polygon models, worse textures and technically inferior lighting, but it has so much better art style and art direction it looks waaaay better as a whole IMO.

European here. I absolutely do NOT understand what everyone here is discussing. When I take the cart at mall, I just simply return it. What's the biggie? Since I take it from the place closest to my car, I usually return it to the same one where I picked it up. To be honest it never ever even crossed my mind to leave it on the parking spot. Are you, the ones who do this, animals or what?

Don't mock me, but... Why are people so obsessed with straws? I can't even remember when I used it the last time. If I want to drink a beverage, I just use glass or cup as it is.

Games bought from EGS definitely are not first class citizen in Linux world. Luckily there are Heroic or Lutris.

Wrong with what? 30% cut? It seems a lot, but from the greater distance I don't think it's that much.

Developers do get great benefits from this. The game is downloadable at any time with great speeds everywhere in the world. They get steam workshop for mods, free forums, reviews, steamplay, proton, friendlists with super easy game invites, ... and all this is basically free advertisment for developer.

Now what does Epic offer in this regard? Nothing.

Hannah Montana Linix is both the best and the worst at the same time. Quite an achievment, right?

I logged in to my bank account the other day...

Well, I don't support the site, in fact I never liked it. And after what Musk did to it, it's complete shitshow. Problem is a lot of people I "followed" (weird mix of journalists, OSINT people, comedians, meme posters, etc.) never bothered to jump the ship or at least divide their presence to another platform. Nitter was a good way to still get what they have to say. Now? Screw you Elon!

Well, not every country has wind farms or water turbines as viable option. You know, geography and stuff...

Toilet paper. Once you rip through cheap one, you'd pay anything to buy better one in the first plce.

I think it's the same for whole EU. I'm forced to click even though I'm not from Germany.

Well, I kind of like Bethesda formula so I should be Bethesdas target. Played them since old Arena, through Morrowind to Fallout 3. Stopped there because Fallout 4 seemed like more of the same with less rpg and I did not have HW capable of Skyrim at the time.

Thinking about it I liked Morrowind the most. And the thing I liked the most about it was exploration and discovering the world, that is big, well done, believable and also changes in every region so there aren't two places that would look alike.

I haven't played Starfield, but I believe it's going to miss the exploration part of the formula. Sure, there will be different biomes on different planets, but that's not the same. I loved how I travelled the world and was amazed by every new scenery that emerged behind mountain ridge. Leaving swamp to get to volcanic plague storm lands. Then travel through beautiful lake district to emerge on vast grass planes... I fear Starfield will be like jumping through this with fast travel.

It made about as much sense as Starfield winning the most innovative gameplay...

I do at least two things that she pretends to hate, but definitely does not.

  1. When discussing something I always reply this way:
  • Her: Come on, say something.
  • Me: Something.
  1. When she needs to do something in the future:
  • Her: Remind me, that I have to buy milk tomorrow.
  • Me: instantly You know, you have to buy milk tomorrow.

That's pretty amazing actually. How did you manage such a feat?

If this is work of 25 years, it's honestly quite sad.

How could we possibly live in PDF when we're obviously living in Excel table?

Plasma is just well optimized in openSUSE with sensible defaults like animation speeds etc. and it's really up to date. At least on Tumbleweed which I recommend over Leap anyway.

As for nVidia I can't speak for myself as I have AMD card.

This whole fake theatre is what I hate about current world. It's much more pronounced in US, but it's getting to Europe pretty fast too, sadly. If I don't like something I just say so, if something is plain stupid there's no need to be nice about it. Some call me blunt or rude, but that's not my problem.

I use Bottles launcher for things like Battle.net, works great, even has simple one click install for it. It's available and maintained as flatpak.

Until they (every one of them) catch-up with price to ICE it's gonna be tough. Same story with every single automotive brand we had in past decades. They thought they're invincible, until...

I believe these problems would be sorted out pretty quickly if big player like Fedora really switched. We can only dream for now...

Makes sense, except for "one model". I think it would be better to have two options.

One low cost, thinking mini pc with integrated gpu (like steamdeck) for casual gamers, 2d gaming, old game(r)s, etc. Would also be perfect as "home office" PC or media consumption device.

Second one would be bigger and stronger with dedicated GPU capable of "real" gaming and running all the modern games. Yes, powerful hardware is expensive, but serious gaming is no cheap thing...

This exactly made me chuckle. What on Earth is innovative on Starfield's gameplay?

Decade or two ago I would agree with you.

Nowadays not that much. Ofc those radio songs you've heard more than billion times are awful and helps nobody to appreciate Beatles. But if you dig a bit deeper into songs that are ignored by radios, there are quite some good songs.

For one, I can't believe Helter Skelter was made by the same Beatles as e.g. Help. Or whole Sgt. Pepper album is nice too.

You should redo them then.

I claim every free game Epic offers, not because I actually want to play them. I claim all those games because it costs Epic money. And that is my goal.

I presume stones get cold during night, when temperature rise they remain colder than air so water in the air condensate on them. Why is this wanted? Well, to get drinkable water in dry areas?

What was supposed to be possible for streamers to say then? "Well I can't criticize, so the game must be great. Ehm, is it? Nobody can say."

Yeah, I love me some Flatpak distro ;-)

On the serious note, I'm sad openSUSE is so low. Tumbleweed's great distro!

Even better is you don't even need to wait those three days. You can replace it straight away! :-)

It felt like Oblivion reskin.

And Oblivion felt basically like Morrowind reskin with more polygons...

Oh come on! This was one of only two remakes anounced that I was interested in and they scratch it? Well, let's hope at least Witcher one gets it and gets it right.

Option 1: Be professional and polite.

Option 2: Scream Leeroy Jenkins and run through the door in the middle of it.

1/2 depends on how probable it is for you to need them in the future.

Or play both and pick your favourite.

Yeah, basically the only time we encounter decimal in celsius is when measuring body temperature.

I just bought a car, so I'm out. Good thing I have backlog of like hundred games waiting.
