Language filter in bluesky is much better than Mastodon as well

That is why Mastodon is hard to get mainstream because not everyone wants extra effort to do this. Even, Twitter, threads and bluesky much better to filter their language content

normies does not really care about corporate or not. the good thing about bluesky are: easy signups compare to mastodon (noobs do not want to join "servers"), better language filter than mastodon (I tried to pick specific language on mastodon setting. But, I still got unused language that I want to see), customized feed (good to find engagement), less ragebait than X and it is open source.

Bluesky also a nice alternative.

I already toggle the Mastodon settings to ensure that I got the feeds to the language I want (I want English only) and I still got feeds on different languages such as German and French

while X is getting pretty bad lately. this is a sanest choice because mastodon is difficult for noobs and threads algorithm is pretty bad lately.

yeah that is why I enjoy much more on bluesky lately because we have customised feed (especially for you which is very similar like X), good engagement, good language filter and ease of use for signup and usage.

Amount of users matters a lot

don't rely on one desktop OS too much. diversity is the best.

Sorry for disappoint you. But, normies don't know what is Linux about? hell even higher than average tech-savvy people know little bit Ubuntu as a Linux.

lack of content and engagement are the main issue and Youtube reign top because of that

if your client or your employer mandates the use of Google Meets as a meeting app. you have to comply.

especially where Reddit are banned in some countries like China and Indonesia

My company allow the usage of Firefox, Chrome and Edge and these browsers are mandatory installed on our corporate computers. But, our users just pick the Chrome and Edge.

I use Jackett to reduce dependency on specific sites

I think this kind of biometric immigration verification will come to many countries eventually. Like UK, Japan and USA already tested this kind of procedure and Singapore is just one step ahead with this full implementation. So, we just can't avoid it. If this kind of verification concerns you a lot just don't travel abroad.

DDL and for discord is totally private unless special invitation. But, now the discord is totally barren.

they want to crackdown vpn as well

Yeah, I am fine with their new policies as long as Bitwarden does not mess up with data breaches or annoying feature such as one active device policy like Lastpass.

begin with site:reddit.com test is much more accurate to get reddit search on brave search tbh

Sadly MS Teams, Google Meets/Hangouts, Zoom and webex are the defacto standard for video conferencing app in many companies atm and I never heard companies use Jitsi

do you update your browser? and which Teams version you use (Classic or new)? my New Teams with Firefox deb and ublock origin looks okay.

if you want easiest route: try signulous or maple sign. But, you have to paid yearly.

I like bluesky especially For You feed reminds me to X and there are lots of engagement. But, mastodon is okay for niche stuffs

I hope it does not affect performance

Yeah, biometric identification will be de-facto standard for travelling in the future and we cannot avoid it unless we want to stop travelling.

similar case like hikarinoakari last month

well, it is up to you. me as premium user I am fine with their change and policy as long as Bitwarden does not mess up like Lastpass with data breaches and one active device policy.
