Lemmy sucks.

They say at the end of the article that poor API support is likely influencing their decision as well.

What's a better alternative? All I know of is eBay, but I used Amazon to buy DVDs and Blu-Rays to support films, and eBay sales don't count as disc sales the same way that Amazon sales do.

Yep

Actually looks like a normally awkwardly-proportioned teen boy actually. He was born in 2006, not 1996.

My inclination is that something is screwy with their business model, to the point where they need to do this to stay afloat. But to be fair I don't actually know a whole lot about Unity, this just seems like something that would drive away the majority of customers so I could only see this making sense under the context of being a move made in desperation.

LOL the state of buying discs in brick and mortar store is abysmal now. I used to like buying discs from Walmart but the one near me has relegated everything to a bargain bin of kids' movies, basically. Practically the only way to buy discs now is to do so online, or at a Best Buy or Barnes & Noble if you have one near you

I love the Pebbles. I have a Pebble Time, just snagged a used Pebble Time Round 20mm from eBay so I'm looking forward to trying that out!

Thanks! This actually is a Lotide instance! We're kinda like Lemmy and Kbin but we have more of a Hacker News type feel

Yeah they shouldn't have touched CS:GO on MacOS

I think they will make it slightly better, but not by much.

This is so cool

lol prolly

I don't think it's that bad. But it's a shame how unfriendly EVs are for the environment, the whole process is borderline worse than using fossil fuels when you consider emissions as well as potential fire hazards and poor disposability

When did they say this? And why?

Ah, interesting. I did not know this! But I had thought that the concern with the EV car fires was mostly because the cars can set fire unexpectedly, they are hard to contain, and carry more hazardous fumes than a traditional vehicle, not that they catch fire more often.

Yep. This seems like a fair enough modern replacement though if that battery life is accurate.

That sounds awesome, what's the chain called? I'll be traveling in about a month and I'd like to stop by if I come across one

Why do you want to debate your husband about Rogan's talking points if you yourself are having trouble arguing with them?

That's a good question, I've actually been wondering the opposite.

I go to news sites and add "/feed" or "/rss" to the URL.

What?

Tox doesn't collect any data at all, as far as I know. It's purely P2P.

Only if you get those responsibilities by staying in the same company rather than getting hired in the same role by another one

Tell me you're poor without telling me you're poor

People hate on Halo Infinite but it's fire now

Probably 😂

Ooh. Good catch!

No, it's not weird, and rumor has it that for years now Apple has wanted to make a portless phone.

I think they want to make money off of accessories and dongles but they're all a bit inconvenient tbh. I do think all phones should have headphone jacks though.

Ah, I won't be going through any of those states unfortunately

Ah. I hate Apple lol, I couldn't imaging going from a Pixel to an iPhone. But Android ain't for everyone I guess.

Not from what I can see. But I don't think they're even out in people's hands yet.

Yep! Classic social engineering attack.

I hear that their cars are nice. I would buy one if they made a plug-in hybrid.

I think you can technically still use Pebble on iOS, but I'm not sure how. The previous owner of the watch has been using it with his iPhone 13.

When you gotta go, you gotta go.

How many admins do y'all have? I'd be lying if I said I agreed with y'all's moderation stances, but I'm surprised at how slow action to some of the posts, users, and communities is

Interesting!

I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not lol

That's the fun part, it doesn't.

Joking aside it's my understanding that instances grab new content from communities/magazines it knows about, as much as possible. From what I've been seeing, federation in both Lemmy and Kbin can be a bit wonky though, I've gone back to Lotide.
