Which people specifically told you that Tesla was a progressive company?
Green energy was practically synonymous with progressiveness when Tesla was first gaining popularity.
That's more of a well rounded statement than specifically naming people, but ok
My more naive and younger self honestly believed Tesla were a shining example of capitalism done right. Now the only thing I believe they’ve honestly done is show the commercial and technical viability of electric vehicles to the rest of the auto industry, who proceeded to curbstomp them with better build quality. At this point, if and when I can afford a Tesla, I’ll be looking to other manufacturers instead.
