Don't worry. It's just lemmy establishing its lore. Soon the bean arc will be over, like the three-day-no-poop arc before it.
Competing with Reddit's lore
After 17 seasons, the Reddit lore was getting stale and uninteresting. Lemmy lore is new hotness. Season premiere only just came out.
Well at least Reddit's lore ended with a supervillain, I suppose.
