you can point and laugh all you want but the real meat of this story is that trust in our institutions is this low.

Would you trust your baby alone in the woods with a random man or a Boeing exec?

Execs have the most psychopats and narcicists, so the chances of them abandoning the kid are high.

They wouldn't abandon a child.

They would use the child as much as possible to save themselves. Noisemaker for a search party, small hands to reach into tight spaces, easy bear escape mechanism, etc.
