That's not how English works.

I am not going to argue with a meme, are you? Actually, please do 🍿

I'm not arguing with a meme; I'm pointing out how the joke fails on a fundamental level because the creator couldn't master basic English. You go ahead and try to be clever with your sarcastic quips.

Lemmy has people on it from all around the world, so not just people with English as native tongues

Besides that, we’re all just shit posting here so whatever 🤷‍♀️

native english speaker here, the joke comes across fine and I literally laughed out loud. people who try to police words/grammar/humor like the guy you're replying to are pathetic losers and nobody likes them. keep making funnies in my language and i'll keep laughing and upvoting them!

sorry, have you mastered basic english? do you make sure you speak with perfect grammar and spelling even in informal contexts? if anything, it would be incorrect to use formal language in such an informal application as a meme

lmao you were the one freaking out about words, now we know theyre an impertinent troll

whine about literacy

proceed to call two sentences "a lot of words" and pretend it's a lot to read

this guy desperately making an asshole of himself trying to troll people is funnier than the meme

linguistic prescriptivism is for weird losers bent on controlling others' thoughts. the joke is fine, i think you're upset about something else here.

I think you see people piling on me and you wanna get a free jab in.

i think you're just salty that your inbox blew up with people telling you what an idiotic blowhard you sound like
