Following Mastodon accounts from Lemmy?
Hey, folks. I'm new to this whole Fediverse thing. One of the things I've been most excited try out is the whole cross platform aspect, where you can follow peertube/mastodon/lemmy accounts from the other sites. I have my reddit account mostly switched over. I went through and found (I think) all of the communities I follow that have a presence on Lemmy. I'd like to start following some Mastodon accounts from my Lemmy if possible, but all the instructions I find when searching it talk about following Lemmy from Mastodon, not the other way around. When I copy the Mastodon links and search them within Lemmy, no results are found. I've tried through a browser, through Jerboa, and through Connect.
Can anyone help me?

As I understand it, Lemmy does not have that capability yet and is one of the distinguishing factors between Lemmy and Kbin which allows mastodon account following. You can see mastodon content, just can't follow. (I believe)
I think mastodon users can see lemmy content and even post. But yeah we don't have that... yet!
I'm still not entirely sure what kbin is. Is there a mobile app for it?
Kbin is a parallel project to Lemmy in the Fediverse, one which launched some months ago. Lemmy has been around a couple of years. Both Kbin and Lemmy structure content similarly to reddit's subreddit topics, where Kbin calls them "magazines" and Lemmy calls them "communities." Topic threads are nested chains of comments and replies with inline media and a 10k character limit. Instances of Kbin and Lemmy can and do interact, with users from either community participating transparently in posts and discussions.
In a technical sense, Kbin is implemented in PHP, where Lemmy is implemented in Rust.
Kbin is also able to interact more closely with Mastodon instances, users and content. With an account on a Kbin instance, you can follow, boost and reduce Mastodon content, in addition to up voting or down voting it.
Kbin also natively displays a user reputation score which is similar to reddit karma, as the net value of boosts less reduces. Up and down votes are (seemingly) not tracked in the aggregate. Lemmy does not expose these stats in the default UI, though there are API endpoints that return this dats
A final distinction (at least that I know about) is that Lemmy exposes an API for 3rd party access and supporting 3rd party apps. Kbin does not yet have a pu loc API, though I understand that one is under development and is currently under review.
So to answer your question: no, i don't believe there are no apps for Kbin yet, but app developers have indicated their intent to support Kbin when it is more mature.

Couple corrections on the rep technicalities: Upvotes didn't count for rep at first, but they have for a few weeks now. For mastodon integration, upvote = favorite(like). Reduces and "downvotes" are not separate functions; a downvote IS a "reduce" and it's always had a rep impact.
No app, but its native web interface is pretty competent.
If you know what lemmy is, you already know what kbin is. It's essentially the same idea, just with more integration with the microblog side of the fediverse. Communities ("magazines") also have a microblog tab which kbin users can post to, which is great for informal posts that don't really warrant their own threads ("I tried (product) and I'm really enjoying it so far," or "the latest episode of (show) was great," or "(boss) in (game) is BS"). This tab also collects posts from mastodon users that use hashtags defined by magazine mods.
The largest instance is at kbin.social, though it might be best to spread out a bit; kbin is still pretty new and there's been a rush to the main dev's server in the snoopocalypse.
There is no mobile app yet, one is supposed to release on September 1st. It's in beta now, so you could still sign up ( app name: Artemis).
Other than that, kbin is available in website form. It's pretty similar to Lemmy except you can also follow specific users. You can see Lemmy content from kbin and vice versa.
