Did Ernest ever explain the origin and pronunciation of the name? While there would be a certain tragicomic open-source poetry in ignoring what he had assumed would happen, it would be relevant information.

this is actually pretty interesting. I think it's neat for either interpretation. but it's good to have things clarified :)
