Hideo Kojima Says Death Stranding 2 Will Redefine 'Strand'
At the beginning, there was the theme of “connecting,” and after that, I made a lot of notes about character settings, game ideas, and so on. Like how to connect it. I put it together while maintaining a balance…But I had to rewrite everything because of corona. In Death Stranding, it was justice to connect, but with the corona crisis, pseudo-connections such as remotes have come to be emphasized. On the other hand, I felt that such pseudo-connections alone would not lead to fulfilling human lives. After all, humans need to go out into the outside world and move.
Buckle up everyone, between 2024 - 2030, everyone's lives will be uprooted, and we will be forced to live outdoors and keep on moving, all thanks to landlords, real estate speculations, climate changes, government and tech surveillances. Thank you Kojima for predicting our lives again.
Well, whatever it's going to do, I'm sure it'll be fucking weird and convoluted as usual.
This is the second STRAND type game
I dunno, indies made a few more already
I'm pretty sure the title implies this will be the first STRAND TWO type game
Well, the 3rd. The last Destiny 2 expansion also belongs in the Strand genre.
Morbius 2 is going to recontextualize what "Morbin" is fr
Strand type games are truly one of the game genres of all time. Bravo
On a more serious note, I am curious on what he's cooking with the pandemic as an inspiration
Considering how weirdly prescient the first one was, I'm looking forward to it.
Do they actually have the ambition to redefine the word strand like Inception (2010) literally redefined inception?
Still waiting for more Full Reactive Eyes Entertainment genre games, personally.
just asking, did Kojima ever personally refer to it as "Death Stranding Two"?
I think they haven't decided on the official name yet, the trailer says it's still a working title
