Does kbin take advantage of image caching? Pages seem to newly load images each time the page is reloaded

I might not know what I'm talking about, but if they were cached on my browser I'd see them load instantly after loading once, right? But they take a bit to load each time when viewed on opera mobile.
Seems like a good way to reduce server costs?

The image caching does seem to be a bit broken lately. Earlier today, I noticed a few links get posted to different communities in quick succession. Two of these links were the same, but one in the middle of them was a different link. However, Kbin cached the thumbnail for the two duplicate links as the same for all 3 threads. Even if I open them in incognito windows (to make sure it's not something account-side), and one of those links still has the incorrect thumbnail.

Here's a screenshot to show what I'm talking about.

For reference, here is the thread on Kbin.social, with the incorrect thumbnail. The Prime Gaming thumbail is accurate for two of those posts, but not the third.

EDIT: On the original instance, it does not have the incorrect thumbnail.

EDIT: Tagging @ernest, just in case.

I noticed this on Firefox mobile but not on Chromium mobile. In my case it includes profile pictures and the logo at the top of the page too.
