Assuming this is the youtube app, to avoid ads I recommend either LibreTube and NewPipe (I have used these), or patching the yt app with revanced (I have heard great things about it but never got it to work)

if you're struggling to use the official manager (which fair enough, it can be quite confusing) there are really good third party tools like https://github.com/decipher3114/Revancify or https://github.com/reisxd/revanced-builder
the official domain according to the github page is revanced.app btw
