A rule of light

My window faces east, so the sun shines straight into my room first thing in the morning. Around this time of year, several beams even fall directly across my pillow as the sun rises, so if you move out of one beam, you move into another. I want to move.

I lift the blinds so I get direct unfiltered sunlight into my window. That way, instead of a few rays of sunlight, I get the entire sun. It helps maintain a healthier sleep schedule.

Don't you hate it when you're trying to fall asleep but the sun says "nuh-uh"?
