Update for the post two weeks ago: https://lemmy.ml/post/5814564

They've reverted the attempted license change and made it crystal clear that the entire project is under the AGPL now.

These decisions are made by me and me alone

They're really not though? You can't just switch off AGPL without explicit permission of every person who's contributions to the project are being relicensed.

Haha, its too late. My account is already deleted.

And I switched this peace of crap to Trilium notes.

Anyone using this. Can it be fully self hosted with all features?

https://standardnotes.com/help/self-hosting/docker there's some information there about licenses on self-hosted servers and the need to buy some "offline" thing that isn't listed on the pricing page. Anyone can chip in? Thanks.

Yes you can fully self-host this but you still need to pay for it, although a lot less.

What's the price? They don't provide that info without proving more details...

I'm not sure, can't find it anymore either... and last time i looked I also looked for a while. If it helps they also have a 30% student discount.

Regardless, i could not get on with SN. Have found Joplin and Notesnook both to be superior.
