A second Denver-area police officer has been acquitted in the 2019 death of Elijah McClain. The 23-year-old Black man was put in a neck hold and injected with ketamine after being stopped by police as he walked home from a convenience store.
Literally putting ketamine in his system so they can use it as a ‘reason’ to beat and/or kill him. Cops out here lynching black men in modern daylight.
I did some research, and apparently using ketamine as a sedative is standard practice among some paramedics. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33763938/
Law enforcement who plans to beat a man to death for driving while black aren’t paramedics and shouldn’t be trusted to administer medicine of any kind.
I think they had actual paramedics administer the ketamine. They are also being tried later.
Actual last words:
Jesus Christ.
Why did it take so long to find the killer's name?
Nathan Woodyard.
Is there a recording of this?
Yes.

Poor boy didn't any of what happened to him. This is awful to read.
I can never understand, with all the people in this country that are totally without hope or happiness, have easy access to firearms, and a fixation on dramatic spectacles... combined with no shortage of justice-dodging pigs like this one... Hmm, forgot where I was going with that.
This is America.

Thanks, appreciate it. Non native speaker here ^^
Me too (😉) and I also appreciate the opportunity to learn to correct these little mistakes. I don’t know how long and in front of how many anglophones I’ve said “mooses” until someone finally pointed out that the plural of moose is moose! Lol 😂

The headline is a little misleading. It makes it look like officers were only acquitted, which isn't true.
3 officers were charged. 1 has already been "found guilty on charges of criminally negligent homicide and assault." The other 2 were acquitted.
The 2 paramedics involved in forcing Elijah to overdose on ketamine are awaiting trial. Not sure why we're trusting paramedics to give correct dosages of sedatives, but here we are.

I hope that event lives in this fucker's nightmares until his very last moment on earth.
It won't.
