Send messages after death
goodbyememo.com
I'm happy to introduce goodbyememo.com, a unique system for composing messages to be delivered posthumously. This initiative was born out of the challenges posed by the pandemic, particularly the realization that many individuals passed away in solitude.
Providing them with the opportunity to leave posthumous messages became a paramount goal.
The possibility of giving suffering people some peace of mind is what inspires us. How it works:
You write messages
You set one of the life checkers
You live/die > We send your messages
Actively working to raise awareness about this free project, I hope you resonate with our cause and may give us visibility. Everybody's attention and feedback will be sincerely appreciated.
From the terms and conditions conditions this is intended to make money by spamming users with marketing based on whatever messages they enter. This is not a positive thing.
Thanks for doing the digging! This should be in the FAQ at a minimum, otherwise it comes off predatory and exploitative. Its well understood that "free" services cost something to run and maintain, so be up front and honest about how you recoup the costs. Only mentioning it in the T&Cs is not being up front.
I read the T&C after reading the About US page which mentioned they were a team that focused on businesses being successful.
Hey there,
Thanks for your message, snoogums. No, we're not into spamming. However, as a free platform, we've thought of a non-invasive way to earn a few cents through advertising.
Consider this: Imagine the system thinks you've passed, but then you log in again. In that case, we'd send you an email with links to some interesting books. If you happen to purchase one of these books, we get a small commission. That's the condition we ask our users to give them a free system.
What do you think?
I think you are scum preying on people on an unfortunate situation to make money through spam advertising.
A cool idea!
I think stuff like ChatGPT and the like enable us to leave behind a more personalized message. “Have a last conversation with a loved one.” Type of thing.
Thanks for your message notfromhere. There are some projects out there trying to achieve this, but we don't want you to work with messages created by AI but from the person who originally wrote it.
