Federal law requires a judge to step away from a case in which her impartiality “might reasonably be questioned.”

should she, yes absolutely. will she, find out on the next exciting episode of reality.

I didn't realize how bad the situation was until I read that. Basically, a Trumpist judge who has delivered badly reasoned orders to favor Drumpf that had to be overturned on appeal, now has the ability to grant an unappealable directed verdict of acquittal in favor of him.

Firmly expect the defense to ask this (no matter how ridiculous the ask is), and this judge seems likely to grant it. End result, Drumpf faces no consequences.
