I am most impressed by the fact that it is 34mb in size

I wonder what engine would produce results that lightweight? I thought it looked like GameMaker originally but 34MB is closer to the size of a game implemented with pure SDL.

Dunkey’s promo vid had the dev say he wrote it himself.

Pretty sure that's a joke. He is leading the publisher.

Somewhat concerned that it’s been released by this publisher - isn’t the guy a huge asshole?

Edit: thanks for the downvotes with no explanation, naturally I had confused videogamedunkey with someone else. I know little of vidya, and nothing of ‘game donkey’

The screenshots haven't sold me on the aesthetic but if its placed in 99th percentile its worth giving it a go.

It looks like a strange combination of Hollow Knight, Baba Is You, and Rain World to me. Those games are certified indie classics though so big shoes to fill.

I picked up a copy on Steam today but had to work late. Looking forward to cracking into it at the weekend!

I picked it up last night after watching a few min of a playthrough, and as someone who wasn't sold on the aesthetic, I changed my mind after like 5 minutes... It is just dripping with atmosphere.
