Some dude responded something to the effect of "why do you want women, gay people and black people to die?" This went on for quite a while. Him insisting that was my motivation, doubling down over and over.
And he was upvoted for this. Because...this is just how Lemmy operates.

Will happen in any social media. If you're neurodivergent, chances are it will happen to you offline as well. People are just really dumb.
Oh yes it can happen anywhere. But it is happening here much more than it happened to me on Reddit. Honestly at this point I'm really tempted to just give up all social media. I like having a website like this but... They all turn into toxic shit holes of one flavor or another in the end.
