I have it that way on desktop and just changed my setting on mobile, I didn't know I could do that without logging in. On desktop YT keeps watch history even if you tell YT not to, recommendations being relevant gives it away.
Same. If I go on a desktop browser sometimes it tries to trick me into re-enableing the history too.
