It's always never an attempt at combatting child abuse, it's an attempt at gaining power or control.

Remember that this is not about fighting CSAM. All that 'protecting the children' shit is just a thin veil for fascism.

Tech news tells me that this measure ended up getting postponed. Not defeated, just postponed.

I'm sure it'll end up back on the table when they think it has a better chance of passing.
