The GOP ticket of JD Vance and Donald Trump, from ‘menstrual surveillance’ to sexual assault, has made itself clear

The Republican party of the United States remains the party of denying women fundamental human rights. The US press as a whole remains the instrument of softening up or ignoring this reality.

“Trump has long been criticized for his public treatment of women,” ran a CNN headline. “The ones in his life argue he’s different in private.” What follows is a puff piece in which prominent Republican women say nice things about him, and his history of alleged sexual assault is mentioned several paragraphs down.

Why would CouchFucker Vance deny women their rights?
Does he deny sofas' rights?

I hear he wants to ban literature on convertible sofas and eliminate furniture protection plans entirely.

Yo I hate to be that guy but idk if this one is the own you think it is.

I'm not usually one to police humor, but as a woman this one just stoops a bit too deeply to their level for me to the point that it is indiscernible from the kinds of jokes that misogynists make with zero self-awareness.

I have been so confused about this joke. I just now looked it up... Apparently a random Twitter user made this up and it's based on absolutely nothing real. Continuously lying about what a political opponent did or said is what Republicans do. We should be a lot better than that shit. Maybe you thought this was based on something, but no, it was not. Just some idiot making shit up. Maybe fact check next time.

I like putting the couch before the horse in the article, I'm sure trump hates his name second.

They should also hammer the point home that Vance is Trump's heir apparent should he die as president.

The horse deserves a couch to lounge on. The poor thing has been standing in the field for so long.

The couch thing wasn't real. We need to be better than Republicans and parroting a weird lie isn't the way to do that

We do need to be better than the hatemongers that get their own base so fired up, they hurt themselves in the confusion. Better than those who support a rapist and victim blame. We need to show what a truly progressive agenda looks like. Rise up from our daybeds, chaises, loveseats and/or ottomans and spread hope, visions of a trek-like future (after first contact), and the idea that we don't have to work to survive, instead we work to thrive.

I get that you find this all very funny, but repeating something that never happened at all is not helping.

Sorry. I needed my 24 hours of it. I'm clear.

We should definitely be comparing Trump's Project 2025 to Harris's plans, as they get released (her campaign isn't a week old yet, so I'm sure details will be flimsy for a bit yet).

You didn't think they'd suddenly change, did you?
