Who used to love Tiger handhelds back in the day?

I was big into Tiger handhelds growing. They're awful by today's standards, but they'll always have a special place in my heart.

Wow. Memory freaking unlocked. I had forgotten that these existed for probably 25 years until I saw this very post. Now it's all coming back to me! I had the Jurassic Park one and never could figure out how to play it right as a kid, but still had fun.

I was always really underwhelmed by them, but that was probably because I had already played a Game Boy lol

Yeah that's fair. They were never terribly impressive visually, but their affordability is what made them appealing. Much cheaper than a Game Boy + games.

Now that's a blast from the past I'd completely forgotten about...!

The ones I remember most vividly were the Disney handhelds (for me, most notably Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas & The Little Mermaid) but I have very fond memories of playing them!

Knowing how game difficulty has changed over the years, I do question whether I'd be able to complete the games with ease now... feels like a lot of the games I played as a kid (like Sonic Adventure 2: Battle) were actually quite hard, or at least I've struggled as an adult trying to replay them!

My mom had to hide my Batman Returns game because I wasn't doing my homework.

Fantastic! I had Ninja Gaiden and Megaman 2 (I think). Megaman was especially interesting for having different bosses.
