"Hey. Have you embarrassed yourself in front of your friends lately? You should call one you barely know and before you hang up, tell them you love them."

I feel attacked, I only did that like half a dozen times when I was in high school. And years later to my now wife when we'd only known each other a brief while (though that worked out I guess)

I have ADHD and have a close friend with ADHD, a former coworker of mine that I click quite well with. We speak about three times a year and usually end up talking for a few hours... then we rarely even message until a few months pass and one of us reaches out. Then we sit back down and start talking as if we saw each other last week.

Man... so often when my mind wanders down memory lane, it manages to come across an unpleasant or embarrassing memory, and it always has to do with an interaction with someone. Emotions gets so muddy whenever attempting to stand my ground, or tripping and stumbling into someone else's ground... or blindly marching into it. It's hard to shake the memory off, it always hurts when it happens.

CORRECTION: Actually, about half of unpleasant memories like these are about things I should have done but kept putting them off due to anxiety and eventually didn't.
