Please be "Sync for Lemmy" and not a "different" app using the same name
I tried almost every Reddit client. Sync is/was perfect. Card styling, customized swipes, two column mode on my tablet, on and on.
I really, really, hope this turns a out to be the Sync I know and love, vs a different app that shares only the name.
Same design and even same icon.

It's still incomplete, but the work takes time.
I'm glad that my beloved Sync will have a new incarnation. I vow patience and not to bitch about bugs and missing features.

It should be Lemmy Sync. Because Sync for Reddit was originally called Reddit Sync, if I’m not mistaken.
The name only changed because some time ago Reddit started with arbitrary rules for third party apps, even deciding how they should be called.

Technically, Lemmy could go the same way. Even though it's an free software project, @ljdawson doesn't own the Lemmy trademark. I think it would be prudent to call it "Sync for Lemmy".
Also, the name change from "Reddit Sync" to "Sync for Reddit" happened long enough ago that people are probably more familiar with the new name,
