Apart from the diplomatic warning to India, US federal prosecutors have also filed a sealed indictment against at least one suspect in a New York district court, the FT report said.

Looks like another assassination plot that failed, it also explains why they aren't sharing too many details if the investigation is ongoing.

I think this is just the US's way of telling India that we have their scent, and to make sure nothing is left at the end of the trail.

Probably because they want this to full stop.

The US did something good?

You can always count on Uncle Sam to fiercely defend its monopoly on violence, for better and for worse. And doubly so on US soil.

Many actions of the US are justified once you take off the conspiracy lenses.

Invading iraq and plunging the country into crisis and chaos so that American capitalists can extract the oil there is such an absurd conspiracy, I don't know why people believe it.

Obviously if there is a dictator somewhere in the world America is completely justified to use inhumane measures to punish the people there for letting that dictator rule.

In reality though, Iraqi oilfields are mostly owned by BP and the chinese, not the US. So yeah it is a conspiracy

The US thwarts one on US soil, but lets two proceed in the sovereign territory of it's closest ally with little more than a statement of "children, stop fighting." Glad to know that the lives of two Canadians is worth substantially less than the life of one American.

Five Eyes, NATO, NORAD, and for what?

Maybe information was shared, but Canada either did not believe the threat credible enough, or in some other way messed up themselves? We likely won't ever know the full story. Historically, other nations don't tend to appreciate the US conducting operations on their soil, so there isn't a ton the US can do to protect a Canadian citizen in Canada, other than pass the information along.

The US, who has jurisdiction to operate in territory covering ~80% of Canada's population...

When are people going to realize India is the third power of the new axis forces (China, India, Russia).

I'm not sure India has the positive relationship implied with China.

It'd be more akin WW2 Japan; racist af and ready to turn on its allies of convenience the moment it suits them
