The Iowa caucuses are seven weeks from today. While AFP Action says it will deploy “the largest grassroots operation in the country and a presence in all fifty states” behind Haley, it’s hard to imagine her beating Trump. It feels like another exercise in political delusion: a powerful mainstream Republican force pretending Trump doesn’t control the party.

There’s also deep irony here. As the major financial and political force behind the reactionary, anti-Obama Tea Party movement, AFP helped create Trump, the man it is now trying to defeat.

Can we please stop using these FAKE AFFIRMING NAMES? She's NIMARATA Haley! Why does she get to choose her name but I can't?

Just received this. My name isn’t Daniel and this is the worst scam attempt I’ve received yet.

I got one recently, classified as spam by Android, asking to participate in a presidential poll and with links to click. Of course I didn't, but I do wonder if it was real... If so, they're doing an awful job getting people who aren't complete morons to respond

I admit I assume it’s a scam attempt. No way in hell I’m clicking that link or going to that website. Report spam and delete.

If it is real, they need to do much better, not that it will matter to me.

Part of me hopes it's real.

"Hey boss, I've figured out exactly what we need to do to get our supporters to give us money! It's something they fall for every day already!"

The part of me that reported it as spam also hopes it’s real.

I keep seeing ads from them on YouTube. It gets just far enough to hear a guy saying some BS about supporting legislation that is pro-entrepreneur. I give him the finger and hit skip every time. Gotta love sprinkling anti-union anti-labor messages into the commercial with shit that sounds reasonable.
