Being run by the project developers left after the primary dev's departure and (if you'll excuse the drama) betrayal by selling to what amounts to an advertising company. Personally I've started supporting this project on github, as losing these tools would be a massive blow to the open source Android ecosystem.

Are these available on f-droid already?

No, but it's coming. Near as I can tell Gallery is the only one with a new release already and I'm grabbing it using Obtainium.

Gallery hits izzys-repo, but I wait for the clock and calendar apps. These are the only SMT apps I use.

Haven't seen them in any store yet, but looking at the traction that SMT had it would make sense to add them soon

Out of interest, what's happening with their simple phone project?

No clue, I'm not sure SMT have said anything, tibbi has been pretty quiet. Regardless, I'd stay very far away and would be researching other custom Android versions or a new phone entirely if I had one.

@Whom I just saw the Gallery upgraded on F-Droid today. It's nice that it now follows the Material You guidelines.

Can I transfer my calendar stuff from Simple Calendar to this one?

I believe Android calendars are stored and managed outside of the apps themselves so whatever you have will probably just transfer over. If not, you can get an ics export.
