Not just MS Team, but the whole MS ecosystem.

Fuck "ecosystems" in general. And fuck companies coopting the word "ecosystem".

Unfortunately sometimes you have to interoperate with them, at this point it is better to do it on "our" terms than their.

i feel like this claim needs a bit more substance. When do you feel like you „have to“ interoperate with them?

Client requests you to coordinate with project team through teams. You want to keep the client because it's a good client / you need money. You find a way to comply.

I would use teams for that, maybe even in a container with a sanitized account or whatever.

sure, Nextcloud is open source, so go and post it in the open source community or in self-hosting.
