We have all seen the video of her broken body being paraded through Gaza and the people spitting on her. Hamas did that and they brought death and destruction to Gaza.

fandom.com has always been a pile of barely usable garbage. More projects should follow and self host a wiki again.

That sounds like a company I want to completely rely on to develop a product, a company and my whole dev career.

https://streetcomplete.app/ is a fun way to contribute to OSM and do something else instead of just "walking" if you want to get outside a bit.

Smells like the idiotic "poaching" concept in which companies think they have a right to their employees and their skills. Musk fired people like a dumbass who then found new jobs working on something they have experience in. What did he think would happen? Everybody goes back to the money their families' emerald mines shed out?

Another expensive mistake left by 16 years conservative BS

lol "Selfhosted" my ass - that's why FOSS is superior regardless of features.

When a gold rush gets going don't go digging for gold but sell shovels.

Because it does not run at the same capacity 24/7. Sometimes it produces energy for 0 households and sometimes for 50,000. Total production in one year corresponds to the yearly consumption of 36,000 households.

"Hey stop bombing Gaza, they are not all terrorists!"

"Giving civilians refuge? But they are all terrorists!"

The duality of Palestine.

“We apologize for the confusion (…)”

Sorry your dumb UwU

Yup. I see no problem with this change. EPub is an open format and one can easily convert existing ebooks.

They can’t really help Israel killing hostages in airstrikes.

How about not fucking kidnapping people and taking them hostage? "Oh we can't help if people die while we keep them imprisoned in our hospital fortress while we keep shooting thousands of rockets at Israel." Fucking ridiculous

Poor man's voice was stolen and now while he cannot use it anymore you make mean jokes :(

Why? Because it works and is reliable. I've been using Opensuse now for ten years on a server and it updated through all the releases over the years without problems. The machine is getting retired now, though. But the replacement will get Leap again for sure.

Did nobody really question the usability of language models in designing war strategies?

Correct, people heard "AI" and went completely mad imagining things it might be able to do. And the current models act like happy dogs that are eager to give an answer to anything even if they have to make one up on the spot.

Non-browser ad blockers like the Pi-Hole block all network traffic to known servers that serve ads. Routing all web traffic through Google's VPN disables this way of adblocking and only leaves in-browser solutions like u-block. And Google's fight against those within Chrome is ongoing.

So you are saying one could log into @x with that...

Take a look at the websites that posts you like link to and then check them out yourself regularly or use RSS as you mentioned.

Or just steal submissions from Reddit IDK

WebRip is basically exactly that: capture audio/video during screening. WebDL is secret magic to tickle the streaming service for the files it sends to the browser during streaming.

Excellent. I hope the next announcement is that the French and German tickets are interchangable, so I can take the Thalys to Paris and use my Deutschlandticket there for the metro. Maybe in ten years we can finally use such tickets all over Europe and make rail travel soooo much simpler. I'm sure buying the correct train ticket without getting shafted by the DB is one of the most complicated endeavours for tourists in Germany.

Yeah them paying in rupees might have been a hint to where it happened.

Voat was created as an alternative for all the nazis that got banned on Reddit so it was always designed to be full of shit. This sphere of the fediverse managed to keep clear of these people. They are able to create their own sphere that is not federated with this one but that is not a problem for us here.

It's good that regulators put a stop to Apple producing even more proprietary BS cables then.

It's not perfect but is the best we have. And it keeps improving nicely.

lol didn't all the Russia fans claim that all the grain went to Europe anyways after Russia left the deal? That Africa won't care and China can feed itself? Turns out that was absolute bullshit as usual from the concern trolls and "neutrals".

Yeah that's what tends to happen when you go into complete dependence to a single product of a private company. They will greedily fuck you over at some point and you look like a total dumbass.

Take the mask off, Todd, we know it's you!

It's good then that Egypt decided to help their muslim brothers out and send fuel, food and supplies over their border.

Originally up- and down votes were intended to crowd source filtering and rating content in a community. So voting up for things you want to see more of and vote down spam or content that is unfit for the community. But people will tend to upvote things they agree with and downvote those they deem wrong - I also find myself doing something like that. I now try to follow these rules:

  • Upvote things I like (or agree with)
  • Don't vote on things I don't agree with or think are dumb
  • Downvote things that I feel really don't belong here.

It helps that lemmy currently shows the number of up and down votes instead of just the score, it gives a bit more inhibition before downvoting stuff.

I'm so conflicted on this. On the one hand he seems like a giant asshole that saves on safety to make a few more bucks but on the other hand he trusted his system completely and died with it. So not really greedy asshole but stupid entrepreneur who didn't realize how wrong he was?

Haha I experienced a similar rule during my 9 months. Stationed on Hardthöhe in Bonn they, have a severe rank-inflation going on with all the old generals and admirals marching towards retirement. It was only expected to salute any of the inspectors if youver met them.

Funny thing that I got loads of salutes from fresh soldiers transferred there as I was in the navy and thus had yellow stripes which confused many of the similarly ranked guys from the other branches.

Yes, but mumble. Fuck that discord noise and back to the old ways.

Doesn't he trust his BRICS pal India to not arrest him or does he not want to threaten a "partner" with war again? What a fucking joke he is.

TBH I don't use the subscription feed often. I subscribe to many channels and rarely clean them out after not watching them for years. So that feed is full of videos that I'm not really in the mood for right now but I might watch some day. My home feed is filled with videos that I'm currently in the mood for - from subscribed channels and new ones I can then discover.
