Poor Slovaks. They did play very solidly.

Not anymore, but they did help me out a lot during university, when I didn't have any stable income. Now I am doing very fine. If they ever need financial help, I'd be very willing to help.

I like Martin Luther's polemic about relics: "How many pieces of the true cross are there in the world? How many thorns from Christ's crown of thorns? How many nails from the crucifixion? There are enough nails to shoe all the horses in Saxony. And if all the relics of the saints were gathered together, there would be enough bones to build a ship and enough wood to boil all the water in the sea."

In that sense it's one of Mary Magdalene's many heads.

CON LOS TERRORISTAS

In Germany, you can't currently deport anyone just for expressing extremist views. However, recently there were demonstrations in Hamburg where about 1,000 people marched to advocate for a caliphate and Sharia law in Germany, which led to a public debate about exactly this. However, this isn't about Palestine but about anti-constitutional extremism. Some state interior ministers are now advocating to explicitly outlaw this kind of islamist extremism, potentially paving the way for easier deportations for those advocating for a caliphate in Germany. Here's a german article on the topic.

I am all for billionaires facing consequences for their actions. The death penalty is still deeply immoral though. Locking financial criminals up like for example the American state did with Martin Shkreli or Sam Bankman-Fried though is completely o.K. and should happen more often.

The bikepacking community sometimes feels more like a gear flaunting contest than a fun outdoor sport. Particularly amusing are 90kg men obsessing over a 10kg bike to save weight.

Dave Bautista mirrors Arnold Schwarzenegger's path from sports to cinema, where he got action movie roles because of his physique. And like Schwarzenegger, Bautista's transition into diverse acting roles showcases his versatility beyond that.

RCpp is crazy good. You can super easily write Cpp inline with R code, it is easy to use and half of the tidyverse is written in it.

I played all of civ 6 there is an I loved it. The add-ons were great and districts were definitely a cool idea. Civ 5 however had the better art style.

If they used "Stable Diffusion" as tool to generate training data, the resulting battle management system model would only work if the adversaries were Asian women with really big boobs.

You caused a civilization underflow. The world is now almost maximally civilized.

Im sorry, but as a language model, I don't have the capability to perceive or assess physical appearances. I am however sure you have other desirable qualities.

I live in a country where there are still bars where you can legally smoke indoors. One of my favourite bars is like that even though I am a non-smoker. I always feel like I can burn all my clothes after an evening there. And the hangovers are way worse.

Aren't there hundreds of independent fritures (small places that serve traditional Belgian fries)?

Building a castle over the remains of a former palisade. What an original idea.

Yeah, I got myself some Borrelia in 2022 thanks to a picnic in a meadow. Luckily the antibiotics killed those pretty fast.

In middle school, during history class, we had a student teacher who was very insecure, and my class bullied him a bit. During a class where he was being evaluated, I went out of my way to disrupt his teaching and likely played a significant role in him failing the evaluation.

Oh, it is a fry basket and mayonnaise holder

It aged so well because the scene and camera work are relatively simple but the writing and acting are absolutely stellar.

Long cow is long

Also in glass onion.

The Southwest of Germany has two really regional dishes that are worth a try. The one is Käsespätzle which is a special Swabian type of egg-noodles with cheese. The other is Maultaschen which are Swabian Ravioli.

Also multiple systems included. the old base plotting from the 90s, lattice for really custom things, ggplot as the most humanely understandable and reasonable system for composing plots and great interfaces to plotly and d3.js

I had an apartment in the 5th floor without an elevator. I liked it at the time and it had some advantages (great view of the city, cheap rent) but was horrendously impractical if you needed to carry anything big up. Even simple things like taking out the trash were really annoying.

I did read about Linux on the internet. But i wasn't crazy enough to download something as gigantic as a Linux distribution with my limited DSL connection in the early 2000s. So I did go to my local Mediamarkt (German electronics store chain) and bought a copy of Suse Linux 6.4 which had a bunch of CDs that i used to install my first Linux system. The first time I installed linux from the internet was around the time Ubuntu was already big (I think i installed Breezy Badger then)

But it's still considered a major historic event. The Berlin wall falling was even more recent and definitely historic.

Just try to write to Botswana's prime minister that you take the elephants he offered Germany. Then you can do it today.

Not from a Musk company or equivalent is a minimum requirement for secure and safe.

I'd say Romania is actually relatively safe crime-wise for tourists. Comms services are better than in my homecountry (always had 4G on my last trip to Romania even in rural places in the mountains, while I sometimes do not have any signal in German high-speed trains between two large cities). Dangerous widlife is actually an issue. Lot's of bears, wolfes, snakes, etc. Also bad tourist infrastructure in really rural places.

A fully original Margherita from a simple small pizzeria in a less touristy part of Naples. That's hard to beat (and usually really cheap for the quality you get)
