Seeing a protest of Canadian truck drivers who didn't want to wear the "face diapers" made it seem like they were acting on an outright masculine honor culture. It's something that softened my previous view that Canada was living under an unlucky streak of bad authority. Now I look at them and think "well no wonder".
Is that really an example of toxic masculinity? A LOT of Karens shrieked about having to wear them.
It was the reason for some guys, for sure. The same crowd who refuse to wear safety glasses under any circumstances were pretty anti-mask.
