Nobody plays by the official rules, because the intention of the game is to bankrupt other players, knocking them out of the game. Not being allowed to play anymore is not fun. So, people tend to change the rules up to make it harder to get knocked out, which in turn leads to games becoming extremely long.

Basically, the game is crap.

Is that like modern society today?

It is slightly more palatable than modern society. That's why it still releases a tiny bit more dopamine than thinking about real life.

Go away, bot

I'm not a bot. My name is Theo Mulraney and I like to discuss maths and science online.

You've changed your name. Still a bot

I'm interested in how you came to the conclusion that they're a bot. I noticed yesterday that they'd been commenting a bunch, and saying some fairly strange things. Consequently, I had them tagged—else the name change would have thrown me.

Word salad that looks like a coherent thought at first glance because of the keywords being on topic, but absolutely nonsensical on closer inspection and with that strange aloofness of bots. Unable to engage with responses in any meaningful way.

I also feel like it’s aggressively trying to not come across as a bot. It’s got a really intense whimsical energy that’s kinda creepy and… not human lol
