Ok I looove me some raw fish but I am really curious how fried sushi rolls would taste!..
Most places have like 20% of their menu as fried (tempura) rolls.
I could eat an insanely unhealthy amount Spicy Crab/Salmon Tempura rolls
My introduction to Japanese food was a spider roll, which is deep-fried soft shell crab done up into maki. Not traditional but damn good nonetheless.
Kinda silly though because deep frying the stuff sorta negates all health benefits of eating raw fish, veggies, and rice...
It depends on the place I suppose, in my experience sushi is pretty rice heavy which isn't all that healthy either.
Delicious. One of the few fights my wife and I had was when she offered me some of her sushi she had just purchased and I put some butter in a pan and lightly seared both sides and then sat down next to her... and that's when the fight started.
Tasted delicious though, had her try it and she agreed that it tasted better cooked but also that defeated the whole premise of Sushi and I was going to hell for doing this thing.
She no longer offers me sushi. Also, it turns out sushi people are just eating raw fish because they are pretentious and not because it taste better raw.

A little column A and a little column B. Some fish I don't like raw and some I don't like cooked.
This is fair, but I disagree on the fact that it isnt controversial enough!
I despised cooked fish, I refuse to eat cooked fish, but sushi? Delicious.
I found myself a fellow raw fish enjoyer 🍣
I'm not this way about all fish, but I can't stand cooked salmon and yet I love salmon sushi.
I don't understand peoples love of salmon, it's almost always terrible. I'll eat about any other fish though.
Most places do crap sushi. But from the right place? It’s fantastic.
Yup... Sushi is the most popular bad tasting food.
Deep fried sushi is on the menu at our local sushi bar
