Real talk. If you find yourself hanging around a crush for years with no reciprocation, move on.

Even if it somehow happens, it won’t work out. There’s a reason y’all aren’t together right now, and it would be the same reason y’all would never last.

You’ll be much happier talking to new people and you’ll be much more likely to find someone who actually likes you back.

Or you could just learn to be OK with being friends.

If the crush is persisting for years it’s not a healthy friendship. Sure, crushing for a few months then fading, great, you can be friends. But if it’s been years and you’re still holding a flame, clearly proximity to this person is keeping you from getting over the crush.

Friendship is not one person secretly being in love with the other.

Yeah very much a "don't let perfect be the enemy of good" situation.

I agree with this. Good tip here y'all. Let's just move in if the feelings aren't reciprocated. An adviced I should had followed long ago instead of wasting years of life thinking it could happen.

The maths say it is still possible that OP is still a kid. They could've had that crush since they're 5 or something. This sounds like some high school shit and I really hope it is.
