Ill have you know I created a community AND made 2 posts!
Holy efficiency
Just wait until we r/efugees get used to it and start being more active.
Oh, and if anyone converts one of the bigger reddit apps to lemmy usage, it'll bump things again because not everyone knows jerboa exists.
I'd love to get Apollo xD
Honestly I've posted more to Lemmy in the last couple days than I have on Reddit in the last 8 years - it's easier because Lemmy feels like a smaller place... Like announcing yourself to a small room of people vs getting on a soapbox on a crowded main street.
On Reddit I always felt like anything I'd have to say would be completely pointless, because who scrolls down 1000 comments anyhow?
As for posts... The threshold does feel lower here.
that's a pretty nice way of putting it. i saw someone else saying that it's feeling like the forums from back in the day
Dude, I'm not even unpacked yet. Give me a sec.
I'm mostly a lurker, even on Reddit. For now, I'm watching various communities and trying to figure it out.
Joining new communities like this is an amazing excuse to contribute more!
I am/was in the same boat as you, but for a new thing to skyrocket it needs interaction, and that's what we can do!
Give me a second, was just taking a shit.
bruh i just got here, let me subscribe to some communities first haha
It’s def gonna take me a while to figure out how to use this site ngl💀
Old habits die hard. Getting used to the more inclusive, positive environment. It feels weird...and warm.
Just like peeing your pants! Ahh, got to love positivity.
I'm new in town too! Anyone wanna help me move the armoire from the back of the van?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hi.
There, I did something.
I’m hoping for a mobile app to be released soon. I used Apollo on iOS for probably 90% of my Reddit usage.
@BacardiT@Kalkaline
A lemmy app? i found a post here that mentioned some, you seem to be on IOS, the post mentioned two IOS compatible clients
Memmy and Mlem
Mlem seems to be the more popular and complete one but currently both are on TestFlight,
i don't really know anything bout any of them tho, never used IOS before so i have no idea which one is better, it's probably better if you look into them yourself if you're interested
the mentioned post: https://lemmy.world/post/37906
(you can find links to both of these clients and the most famous android client one too in this post)
