The candid reviews of the new rules, which went into effect Monday, even included mockery from Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, who joked to reporters that she planned to “wear a bikini” on Tuesday.

Ultimately in a democracy I want my representation to feel like a representation of folks like me. If you want to wear a suit to work that’s great, but maybe us rust belt democrats want someone who’d rather dress like a union steward to go represent our interests. Senator Fetterman in his hoodie looks exactly like the sort of person you’d expect to represent Pennsylvanians.

Also maybe just maybe, I care more about the quality of their work than what they wear doing it.

My industry has largely moved to uniforms. I say we get them all coveralls and be done with it. It’s a job, not a fashion show.

Add flairs of their biggest donors to the overalls

Stan, Chotchkie's Manager : We need to talk about your flair.

Joanna : Really? I... I have fifteen pieces on. I, also...

Stan, Chotchkie's Manager : Well, okay. Fifteen is the minimum, okay?

Joanna : Okay.

Stan, Chotchkie's Manager : Now, you know it's up to you whether or not you want to just do the bare minimum. Or... well, like Brian, for example, has thirty seven pieces of flair, okay. And a terrific smile.

Joanna : Okay. So you... you want me to wear more?

Stan, Chotchkie's Manager : Look. Joanna.

Joanna : Yeah.

Stan, Chotchkie's Manager : People can get a cheeseburger anywhere, okay? They come to Chotchkie's for the atmosphere and the attitude. Okay? That's what the flair's about. It's about fun.

Joanna : Yeah. Okay. So more then, yeah?

Stan, Chotchkie's Manager : Look, we want you to express yourself, okay? Now if you feel that the bare minimum is enough, then okay. But some people choose to wear more and we encourage that, okay? You do want to express yourself, don't you?

Joanna : Yeah, yeah.

Stan, Chotchkie's Manager : Okay. Great. Great. That's all I ask.

Also maybe just maybe, I care more about the quality of their work than what they wear doing it.

I wish I could get someone to explain this to my boss. Me wearing a collared shirt on camera isn't going to make me do a better job, and if you think that then you don't know what the hell I'm doing all day.

But they need to look/feel important /s (but maybe not sarcasm?)

You should read the reddit comments on the threads about this. They read very similar to your sarcasm, but are serious.
