People use the Reddit app?

Right? Like wtf? Thats the whole reason I stopped going to reddit.

I call it North Korean syndrome. (They don't know any better.)

What's the other choice these days?

Edit: Did some research, sounds like a few apps got API exceptions because they are consider accessibility apps. Am currently test driving RedReader. It's not bad and so far ad free.

Unfortunately there are some communities (especially gaming ones) that just don't have a Lemmy equivently or don't have enough critical mass to be useful. I would say Lemmy is a great addition, but not a drop in replacement.

As soon as there’s an NFL and CFB equivalent on Lemmy I will have zero use for Reddit, I still check those for news and during the season but deleted my account last June

There's always web, viewed via the old domain. I view most apps as websites with user agency removed.
