Texas sues GM for allegedly violating drivers' privacy

Aug 13 (Reuters) - General Motors (GM.N), has been sued by the state of Texas, which accused the automaker of installing technology on more than 14 million vehicles to collect data about drivers, which it then sold to insurers and other companies without drivers' consent.
Did they not pay Ken a bribe or something? There’s no way he’s doing this for normal Texans
His insurance rate probably skyrocketed because GM sold his shitty droving habits to his insurance.
Oh, just like the last lawsuit against Meta, the citizens see nothing of it since it's the state suing.
Fuck you for working the 2nd or 3rd shift, or having a social life
It's not just GM, either. My insurance app, and the apps of two other insurance companies that I know of, do the same with night driving. I would get off of work and drive home, just to see the driving score get lowered. Twas bullshit.
What’s this? You USE the vehicle you’re insuring? Well that means we need to rais your premiums.
What hours are they considering higher risk?
Night hours, which I'm not sure exactly when they start and stop, but I was seeing it for when I was driving home around 0000-0500 hours
GM should just be like, "We're just making sure no one is trying to get an abortion." That'll shut Texas up.
Is Texas the first and only state to do this?
As far as I've seen, yes.
