Man, I completely understand that those crimes against humanity, atrocities, call them whatever you want there are no words to describe it, are real. I also respect anyone for going in there an watching those things. I couldn't.

But this thing reads like a propaganda piece. The IDF has killed over 5000 civillians, (including hundreds of children) yet the author of the article claims that Israel greatly respects the lives of civillians and they'd never kill kids... This just reads like propaganda at this point. I'm honestly disappointed that the author has used those atrocities for his political game.

It was Hamas who killed those children and women in Gaza. Hamas knowingly and intentionally provoked this reaction from Israel and they are the ones hiding behind the civilians shooting rockets from near hospitals. I think the reaction was calculate so they can additionally play the victims.

It was Hamas who killed those children and women in Gaza.

Omg this is a new one. There's a level of delusion you need to cross beyond which there's a point of no return. Beyond that boundary are thoughts like this.

“You made me hit you” is the cry of abusers everywhere.

Games. Games are being played and innocent people are paying the price. Everything is awful.

David never mentioned what he thought of the over 5000 deaths in Gaza. So much for neutral reporting.

Did you not get to the end of the article?

The event ends. I leave and reflect on what we have seen. Those images are but one horrific event in a broader conflict that is tragic in the truest sense of the word because there are no good options. The occupation, the suffering of Gazan civilians, the endless, endless violence. Israel is responding, because it has a duty to — just like it has a duty to safeguard the life of Gazan civilians.

That wasn’t the end. The end:

But something else is clear, too. Something that the footage confirmed. What happened on 7 October had nothing to do with resistance. It had nothing to do with occupation or a one or two-state solution. It was about something far more ancient and atavistic — the desire to kill Jews wherever they are and whoever they are. And against that there can be no retreat.

Kinda negates the previous paragraph.

What did they expect? Hamas have done this to the Palestinians, Netanyahu has done this to the Palestinians, there are no good guys here for you to cheer on

Some audio plays and a translation of the Arabic pops up on the screen as a Hamas terrorist calls his father: “Father, I killed 10 Jews! Check your WhatsApp! I sent you the photos! Father, I killed 10 Jews! I killed 10 Jews with my bare hands. check your WhatsApp. Father, be proud of me!”

These are who you are supporting?

You present a false dichotomy. There are good guys: The Palestinian people who have been oppressed for 56 years. The fact that you can’t see that should be concerning.

The Palestines elected Hamas, Netanyahu kept them there. There are no good guys.

It’s obvious you think Israel are the good guys. And dishonest to pretend otherwise. I support Palestine. Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions.

There was a chance of a two state solution, a lot of effort was put in, Yasser Arafat is widely blamed for walking away. They chose to continue to commit to genocide. Ironic eh?

Widely blamed by whom? The West?

At the failed Camp David summit, Arafat was ambushed by Clinton and Barak, when both presented him with a deal that was much more favorable to Israel than to Palestine. Source.

But facts don’t matter to you. Ironic eh?

The proposals included the establishment of a demilitarised Palestinian state on some 92% of the West Bank and 100% of the Gaza Strip, with some territorial compensation for the Palestinians from pre-1967 Israeli territory; the dismantling of most of the settlements and the concentration of the bulk of the settlers inside the 8% of the West Bank to be annexed by Israel; the establishment of the Palestinian capital in east Jerusalem, in which some Arab neighborhoods would become sovereign Palestinian territory and others would enjoy "functional autonomy"; Palestinian sovereignty over half the Old City of Jerusalem (the Muslim and Christian quarters) and "custodianship," though not sovereignty, over the Temple Mount; a return of refugees to the prospective Palestinian state though with no "right of return" to Israel proper; and the organisation by the international community of a massive aid programme to facilitate the refugees' rehabilitation.

Ambushed with the best deal ever. Sure.

Sorry you typed all that in vain. If you’re trying to convince me, you’re gonna need to grant all Palestinians equal rights, and withdraw settlements from all occupied areas. If you want a 2 state; we go back to the 1967 borders and conditions. Deal?

You didn't read the article...

I did. One sentence does not represent impartiality. It’s propaganda. The IDF even admitted it.
