The Bar isn't fucking high enough.
A lot of the dumbest people I went to high school with have masters degrees. It's well past time to stop judging people based on a piece of paper.
Intelligence and morality are not the same thing.
Stupidity is a moral problem not an intellectual one.

Fun fact: In some states, you can take the bar without having gone to law school. Or college. Or have a high school diploma. If you're lucky, you can pass it too.
