you should be able to understand and empathise with horrible people imo. just saying "they're bad so I don't need to understand why they do what they do" can lead you to hate people that shouldn't be hated and will prevent you from actually addressing the issues that result in people behaving in horrible ways.
That's not how it works. It is much easier to sit behind a computer and have opinions than saying no in that situation.
The reason everything is so shit in the world is because no one will take a stand against those that abuse us.
There's the question of willingness, and then there's that of ability. A single person acting independently with no prior planning will quickly get shut down, and the world will be no better for it.
